New Beginnings

When I received a comment from a sweet friend this morning on my last post, I realized that it has been several months since I have written and my blog seemed to be in a perpetual state of mourning. An update is definitely in order.

Summer was a time of healing and self-discovery. Whenever there is a major change in our lives, I think it forces us to redefine who we are. I have come through all of this with a new appreciation of my determination not only to survive, but to thrive. However, I could not have made it to where I am in my journey without the Lord's grace and goodness as He watches over me. Good friends, lots of prayers mixed with hugs and laughs...this is the recipe for healing in community.

My circumstances are much better now. I was able to sell my house and I am working five days a week at a non-profit and a church. I am renting part of a house from a precious friend, who has become more like family to BK and me. I am at a new church that is closer to where I live and the Word, worship and fellowship there are changing my heart.

Change is never easy, but I am settling into my "new normal" quite well. I am content, at peace and very thankful.

So glad you are healing. It takes a while, doesn't it? But you will be fine--God is good.
